Key Responsibilities
Verify imported goods and documentation (invoices, packing lists, customs documents, EURO1 certificates).
Issue clearing instructions to forwarders.
Create, maintain, and manage shipment confirmations in SAP.
Submit and prepare documents for Receiving and Creditors.
Track and monitor all shipments, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.
Manage overdue shipments with forwarders and Receiving.
Investigate and resolve shipment queries or discrepancies (over/under receipts, claims, credits).
Process customer freight charge-outs on time and forward to Finance.
Maintain and update the shipping register.
Handle filing, reporting, and freight cost recovery.
Provide regular (daily/weekly) updates on inbound shipment statuses.
Requirements
Matric (compulsory).
Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, Excel).
Completed or studying towards a Shipping Diploma/Certification (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years’ shipping administration experience (essential).
Strong knowledge of import documentation and related charges.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).
Proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
Strong problem-solving ability and customer focus.
Team player with high levels of trust and self-motivation.
