Job Summary:
Meridian Wine Distribution is looking for a Driver Assistant to join their team in Sandton. The role involves helping with loading, offloading, and supporting the timely delivery of products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Report to work on time to meet delivery deadlines
Assist with handover of goods from warehouse to delivery vehicle
Pack orders correctly and securely to prevent damage during transport
Ensure you carry your tablet and paperwork for all deliveries before leaving
Support the driver with stock deliveries and collections based on the route or supervisor’s instructions
Deliver goods accurately and punctually
Engage politely with customers to build good relationships
Handle product returns or defective stock as per company policy
Maintain cleanliness and condition of the delivery vehicle
Report incidents or accidents to the supervisor immediately, following proper procedures
Always wear your uniform and present yourself neatly and professionally
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric)
A valid Code 10/14 license is an advantage, but not mandatory
