AVBOB, in partnership with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is offering an exciting Long-Term Insurance Learnership Programme for 2026. This initiative provides unemployed South
African youth with the opportunity to gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the insurance industry while earning a monthly stipend.
About the Learnership
The AVBOB & INSETA Learnership
Programme is a 12-month structured work-based learning opportunity that blends accredited theoretical training with real workplace exposure. Learners will complete a registered qualification in Long-Term Insurance, equipping them with industry-ready skills and knowledge.
A monthly stipend for the full duration of the learnership.
Accredited qualification in Long-Term Insurance (INSETA-accredited).
Exposure to AVBOB’s workplace culture and operational environment.
Development of key professional, communication, and technical skills.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
Must have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate, including:
English (compulsory)
Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy, or Accounting
Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Must not have completed or participated in any previous learnership.
Computer literacy (MS Office, email, internet) is an advantage.
Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Must be a South African citizen.
