About the Role
Fedics is seeking a talented Chef to assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained.
The role involves overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining quality control, and supporting the growth of the culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of food purchasing, preparation, and presentation.
Step in for the Catering Manager when required.
Lead, develop, and mentor the kitchen team.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Maintain proper stock levels with the right quality and quantity.
Create menus that are innovative, appealing, and meet client expectations.
Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Manage food budgets effectively.
Report and follow up on maintenance issues.
Uphold strong communication between the kitchen and service staff.
Check each dish before it leaves the kitchen for quality.
Stay updated on food trends and attend training when required.

Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12).
Formal culinary qualification/diploma.
2–3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
