About the Role

Our client, a trusted leader in dewatering and water management solutions, is looking for reliable and safety-conscious Pump Attendants to join their temporary workforce pool. Successful candidates will be deployed to different sites to monitor and maintain pump operations during dewatering projects — ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely at all times.


Key Responsibilities

Monitor dewatering pumps on-site to ensure smooth and continuous operation.

Inspect pipes, hoses, cables, and related equipment for leaks or faults.

Report any irregularities, stoppages, or safety hazards immediately.

Perform basic maintenance, including clearing debris and unblocking lines.

Record operational data such as fuel levels, water flow, and pump hours.

Assist with the start-up, shutdown, and relocation of pumps as needed.

Maintain good housekeeping around pump areas to reduce risks.

Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and site regulations.


Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)

Valid Driver’s Licence – essential

Previous experience with pumps, construction, or site work – advantageous

Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

High attention to detail and ability to spot potential faults early

Willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends, and at remote sites

Own reliable transport to and from site

Strong communication and reporting skills
