Ipelegeng Transport Trust Service Vehicle Drivers x4 – Applications Open

Ipelegeng Transport Trust is hiring four Service Vehicle Drivers to join its Traffic Department. This opportunity is suitable for candidates who have Grade 12, a valid EB driver’s licence and at least two years of driving experience.

Successful candidates will report directly to the Traffic Manager and assist with bus route inspections, monitoring bus operations and ensuring that the service vehicle is properly maintained and ready for daily duties.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric or an equivalent academic qualification.
  • A valid EB driver’s licence.
  • At least two years of driving experience.
  • Knowledge of the bus passenger transport industry.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Good driving, planning, organising and time-management skills.
  • Honesty, professionalism and a strong commitment to road safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work after hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Transport the Traffic Supervisor to designated routes, bus stops, depots and operational areas for route inspections.
  • Assist with monitoring bus operations along designated routes.
  • Ensure that the allocated vehicle is available, roadworthy and ready for scheduled inspections.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks.
  • Coordinate and monitor vehicle servicing and maintenance schedules.
  • Follow up on driver planning and scheduling.
  • Comply with road traffic regulations and company health and safety procedures.
