Role Overview
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Forklift Driver will be responsible for dispatching finished goods and loading trucks in line with customer specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch finished goods accurately and on time.
Load trucks in accordance with customer requirements.
Ensure all containers are correctly labelled.
Follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) system for dispatching parts.
Confirm goods are loaded safely and comply with regulations.
Consider weather conditions when loading open stillages.
Conduct pre-start checks to ensure the forklift meets safety and maintenance standards.
Required Skills
Knowledge of parts used in manufacturing.
Understanding of stock control, warehousing, and FIFO principles.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic numeracy (addition and subtraction).
Ability to recognize and report work-related issues clearly.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.
A valid forklift license.
At least 2 years’ forklift driving and logistics experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
