Role Purpose
We are seeking a Learning and Development Officer to coordinate and facilitate training and development programmes.
The role ensures all learning interventions are effectively managed, compliant with legislation, and aligned with Tsebo’s policies and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Coordination: Manage the registration process for training programmes, from capacity planning to enrolment and communication with employees.
Cost & Vendor Management: Work with vendors to obtain training costs, manage cancellations, process invoices, and ensure payments are made on time.
Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate training documentation, ensure compliance for audits, and manage course-related files.
Systems Maintenance: Update learner records, training catalogues, and portals; maintain monthly reports for business unit managers; ensure systems are accurate and up to date.
Administration & Logistics: Book venues and equipment, handle logistics, update learning calendars, and communicate with all stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential).
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Planning, organising, and time management skills.
Knowledge of labour legislation (BCEA, EEA, LRA, SDL, etc.).
Familiarity with accreditation bodies (SETA, SAQA, QCTO).
Analytical, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
Strong presentation and facilitation abilities.
Budget and financial administration skills.
Business acumen and knowledge of L&D processes (design, profiling, intervention development).
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 or equivalent.
National Diploma in HR Development, Behavioural Sciences, or equivalent with a specialisation in Learning & Development.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in:
Coordinating and facilitating learning programmes.
Working with external training vendors and institutions.
Managing admin related to WSP/ATR and Employment Equity reporting.
Coordinating learnerships, internships, and graduate programmes.
Budget management and project management of talent management systems.
