Responsibilities
● Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs as per OEM requirements.
● Systematic and efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose machine systems problems and carry out.
● Repairs on earthmoving equipment on customer sites.
● Compile accurate customer machine reports that include failure analysis, condition, service,
● Machine Inspection Reports (MIR’s) and
Technical Analysis reports (TA’s).
● Maintain professional image when representing BWE.
● Work on specific customer sites as per customer requirements when required.
● Maintain and control Contamination Control Standards.
● Responsible and Control of own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, etc.)
● Follow through to ensure that quality and
productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained (ISO standards)

Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
● Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3
● Machine specific technical knowledge and skills
● Sound interpersonal and communication skills
● Basic technical report writing
● Basic business and financial understanding
● Some Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge
● Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
● Applicable product knowledge
● Driver’s licence – Code B
● Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedure
