About the Role

The Tolcon Group is seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Patrol Driver/Staff Driver to join their operations team on the N1/N4 Platinum Highway. The role involves patrolling the highway, responding to incidents, clearing obstacles, and ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic. The position also includes transporting staff and mail between designated locations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct two patrol trips per shift and remove road obstacles.

Inspect and report damage to road surfaces, barriers, and signage.

Respond promptly to accidents and breakdowns, ensuring roads are safe before reopening.

Assist stranded motorists and support emergency services at crash scenes.

Complete and submit all required incident and vehicle reports.

Keep the patrol vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.

Set up traffic control measures according to safety procedures.

Take photos and collect data for incident documentation.

Safely transport passengers, staff, and mail as assigned.

Adhere to RIMS safety and reporting protocols.

Maintain constant communication with the control office and provide situation updates.


Minimum Requirements

Grade 10–12 qualification.

Valid Code 08 Driver’s License with PDP (non-negotiable).

Minimum 2 years of driving experience with a proven safe record.

Excellent communication skills in English and one additional language.

Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Knowledge of road assets and safety procedures.

Physically fit and able to work rotating shifts and in all weather conditions.
