Overview:
Trendi Recruit is seeking a driven Sales Representative to build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients in the FMCG sector.
The successful candidate will actively seek sales opportunities, support merchandising strategies, and ensure excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail customers.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
Oversee point-of-sale displays and manage product returns per company policy.
Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, and new product launches.
Submit weekly and monthly sales reports to management.
Organise and follow a daily schedule to connect with current and potential customers.
Handle customer complaints and liaise with the appropriate department.
Support team efforts and assist with general sales administration.
Take part in department-wide responsibilities where needed.
Candidate Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
3–5 years’ experience in FMCG sales; experience in the poultry sector is a bonus.
Ability to perform well in high-pressure environments.
Strong history of building successful client relationships.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime and on public holidays if required.
Self-driven with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.
Valid Code 8 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Computer literacy is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
