Location: Gauteng
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven learner to join our dynamic food applications team. This opportunity is exclusively available for South African nationals who are currently unemployed and are part of a designated BBBEE group.
The ideal candidate will be curious about food ingredients, food production, scientifically orientated, comfortable in a laboratory environment, with good computer literacy, excellent communication skills and the ability to learn fast.
Responsibilities:
● Support technical laboratory activities for customer sampling
● Perform basic admin to update reporting platforms
● Assist with basic tasks within the technical department
● Replenish laboratory stock levels
● Making up colour, flavours and Pharmaceutical products
● This role is an ideal opportunity for a person to gain valuable work experience in a professional environment at a leading international food ingredient company.
Requirements:
● Matric with science and math
● Certificate/diploma in food technology or relevant related field would be advantageous
● Proactive attitude, well organized and ability to manage time to meet deadlines
● Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
● Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
● Demonstrate basic understanding of laboratory equipment and usage
● Access to reliable transport
