What the Learnership Offers
Successful learners will participate in a structured learnership programme at one of the Senwes Grainlink silos.
The programme includes practical workplace exposure and formal training in areas related to grain and silo operations.
Learners can expect exposure to:
- Silo operations
- Grain handling
- Administration
- Different grain commodities
- Grain grading
- Computer literacy
- Communication
- Essential workplace skills
Learners will work with different grain commodities, including maize, sunflower and soya, among others.
Training and Career Development
The learnership includes accredited training in grain grading, with the aim of developing learners towards a career as a Junior Grain Grader.
The practical experience at a silo can help learners understand how grain is handled, managed and assessed within an agricultural environment.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- National Senior Certificate / Grade 12
- Valid driver’s licence
- Must be between 18 and 25 years old
- Interest in agriculture or technical fields
- Willingness to work at a silo
- Willingness to learn about grain operations
