Role Purpose

PPS is looking for a Support Assistant to join its External Distribution team in Pretoria.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the role focuses on delivering high-quality, accurate administrative support within the required service level agreements (SLAs).

This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and a structured approach to completing tasks, with the aim of developing into a valued technical expert within the team.


Key Responsibilities

Process and follow up on requests such as: premium updates, beneficiary changes, debit orders, letters of authority, broker amendments, policy amendments, claims, etc.

Check and capture applications within 4 hours of receipt, maintaining at least 95% accuracy.

Perform daily administrative routines and track incomplete applications or service requests.

Communicate outstanding requirements to intermediaries and stakeholders.

Provide administrative support to Life Specialists and intermediaries.

Prepare quotations and benefit statements for intermediaries.

Assist in organising broker workshops and ensure that necessary forms and brochures are available.

Take ownership of meeting service standards consistently.

Complete annual system assessments as required.


Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

2+ years’ experience in an administrative role within the Financial Services or Life Assurance sector.

Basic knowledge of life assurance or financial services.

Computer literacy: Proficient in MS Office (Internet, Outlook, Excel).
