About the Role
The Rooms Network is offering an exciting 12-month internship within the CFO’s office.
This role is ideal for a motivated individual eager to gain practical experience in finance and executive support.
The intern will work closely with the CFO, contributing to strategic projects, financial reporting, and stakeholder communications in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Strategy
Manage the CFO’s calendar and prioritize commitments based on financial cycles.
Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials with accurate financial detail.
Support CFO-led projects, including system implementations, M&A, and cost optimization.
Track strategic deliverables and ensure deadlines are met.
Financial Coordination & Reporting
Assist with budgets, forecasts, and board reports.
Monitor critical financial timelines (audits, filings, investor updates).
Develop dashboards and track KPIs.
Consolidate data with finance teams to ensure smooth reporting processes.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Act as the first point of contact for the CFO’s communication with executives and partners.
Draft high-impact correspondence on behalf of the CFO.
Maintain confidential documentation in line with governance policies.
Meetings & Governance
Organize and coordinate board sessions, investor meetings, and financial reviews.
Record decisions, action items, and follow-ups.
Arrange travel and manage expenses for the CFO’s office.
Uphold governance standards for financial documentation.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication (English required; other SA languages an advantage).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
High discretion and ability to manage confidential information.
Report-writing and professional minute-taking skills.
Project coordination and multitasking ability.
Knowledge of corporate governance principles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare presentations and reports.
Flexibility to work beyond normal hours when required.
