Job Purpose
The Warehouse Operator ensures that all merchandise is accurately inspected, undamaged, and complete before it reaches customers, while maintaining high standards of efficiency and order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Inspection & Accuracy

Check merchandise against order details to confirm items and quantities are correct.

Ensure products are free from defects, damage, or missing pieces.

Carry out quality control checks throughout the packing process.

Distribution & Fulfilment

Oversee inventory movement from warehouse to retail outlets, ensuring timely delivery.

Apply safe packing methods to minimize damage in transit.

Shipping & Receiving

Use scanners to track and confirm stock movement.

Sign for deliveries and check that received stock matches invoices.

Dispatch orders promptly.

Organization & Inventory Management

Safely load, unload, stack, and arrange merchandise.

Optimize warehouse space through effective stock placement.

Support inventory control and stock management tasks.

Customer Focus & Problem Solving

Ensure customers receive orders on time and in good condition.

Identify issues quickly, suggest solutions, and collaborate to resolve them.

Share feedback with colleagues and managers to improve processes.

Compliance & Standards

Follow company standards for productivity, speed, and accuracy.

Meet or exceed targets for order picking, packing, and shipping.

Other Duties

Carry out additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management.

Requirements & Skills

Matric (essential); further education is an advantage.

Previous experience in retail or warehouse operations preferred.

Knowledge of inventory management systems.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or in a team.
