Position: Administration Clerk (SCRA and RAASA)
Salary: R228 321 – R268 950 per year (Level 05)

Location: Head Office – Tshwane (Pretoria)


The Department of Home Affairs is recruiting Administration Clerks to support administrative operations within two units at Head Office in Tshwane:

Standing Committee for Refugee Affairs (SCRA)
Refugee Appeals Authority of South Africa (RAASA)


These positions involve providing clerical support, coordinating meetings, processing documentation, and assisting with administrative and budget-related tasks within the units.

Training / Placement Location

Both positions are based at the Department of Home Affairs Head Office in Tshwane (Pretoria).

Successful applicants will work within the following units:

Standing Committee for Refugee Affairs (SCRA) – Ref No: HRMC 6/26/12
Refugee Appeals Authority of South Africa (RAASA) – Ref No: HRMC 6/26/13


Requirements:

Grade 12 or an NQF Level 4 qualification in Office Management or Business Administration recognised by SAQA
Understand Public Service regulations and departmental legislation
Have strong administrative and organisational abilities
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Administration Clerks will perform a range of administrative duties, including:Practical experience programs


Providing clerical support within the unit
Arranging meetings and events for managers and staff
Liaising with travel agencies to arrange official travel
Processing travel and subsistence claims
Recording basic meeting minutes when required
Drafting routine correspondence and reports
Filing and maintaining documents and records
Managing leave registers and telephone accounts
Handling incoming and outgoing documents
