Position Overview
Mercedes-Benz Multi The Glen is seeking a Service Costing Clerk to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of costing job cards and warranty claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately cost job cards in line with company policy.
Match invoices, outwork invoices, and orders to the corresponding job cards.
Verify and apply correct mark-ups and pricing.
Ensure all accounts and debtors are cleared in advance.
Confirm that repair orders are properly signed by vehicle owners.
Validate technician job records and clock times.
Verify parts supplied by the Parts Department and ensure Service Advisor authorization.
Complete invoicing and ensure accurate mark-ups.
Process and submit warranty claims timeously and in compliance with company and distributor guidelines.
Obtain and attach supporting documentation and claim tags to warranty parts.
Maintain and monitor suspense files, claim registers, and ensure payments are received.
Confirm vehicle warranty eligibility and proper storage of warranty parts.
Assist with vehicle bookings for service when required.
Participate in training courses provided by the distributor.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric) qualification required.
Experience in the motor industry will be an advantage.
Solid understanding of costing and warranty procedures.
High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy essential (MS Office proficiency preferred).
