Job Summary
Rand Water is seeking a District Aide to support general operations, including pipeline patrols, valve and meter maintenance, and overall upkeep of facilities.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or N3 qualification
Valid driver’s licence
At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular pipeline patrols
Perform maintenance on pipelines and related equipment
Clean buildings, yards, and grounds
Carry out meter readings
Participate in standby duties as required
Maintain grounds and ensure general site cleanliness
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of:
General maintenance procedures
Safety and safe working practices
Basic operations within a utilities or water services environment
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication
General maintenance and repair ability
Ability to ride a bicycle for patrol duties
