Job Summary
The Admissions Clerk will be responsible for managing front-desk and reception duties, handling patient admissions, and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and professionally, in line with Clinix Health Groupโ€™s quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

Administration qualification / NQF Level 5.

1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ experience in office administration.

Advantageous: A health-related qualification.

Key Responsibilities

Manage reception and clerical functions efficiently.

Handle patient and customer queries professionally.

Answer incoming calls at the front desk.

Ensure the reception/admissions area is neat and well maintained daily.

Provide patients and customers with accurate information on admissions and bookings.

Process healthcare documentation and assist patients with completing forms.

Verify and capture required patient information (ID, medical aid details, doctor information, etc.) into the approved system.

Complete pre-admissions and pre-authorisations, including reference numbers, ICD codes, diagnoses, and other relevant details.

Ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained.

Support discharge processes when needed.

Escalate queries or issues to the Reception Supervisor.

Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
