About the Role

AECOM is looking for a BIM Modeller specializing in structures to join its Enterprise Capabilities office in Centurion, South Africa. This position supports both local and global teams. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, blending office presence with remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Autodesk Revit or Bentley OpenBuildings/Microstation to model structures and produce drawings under supervision.
  • Prepare BIM models and deliverables that comply with client expectations, industry standards, and project BIM execution plans.
  • Ensure work accuracy before review by senior engineers.
  • Support project coordination through tools like Navisworks during delivery phases.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing model and drawing data.
  • Administer projects in BIM360.
  • Organize work efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated on new software and techniques to improve productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to perform the duties described above.
  • Some technical understanding of structural engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, workflows, and general methodologies.
  • Experience with 3D modelling of concrete, steelwork, and reinforcement.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience using Revit modelling.
  • Formal qualification in BIM, or a diploma/degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
