ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Bookkeeper/Administrator role supports the day-to-day administration and financial control of a catering unit in Durban.
The successful candidate will assist the Catering Manager with financial administration, stock control, bookkeeping returns, cost monitoring, audits, cash checks and other administrative duties.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Catering Manager with the monthly client account.
- Maintain all financial control systems.
- Report fluctuations in stock consumption to the Catering Manager.
- Assist with the monthly surprise audit stock check.
- Liaise with Catering Managers and consolidate costings for meals and functions and GP monitoring.
- Assist with stock takes.
- Ensure all invoices received are processed.
- Assist with functions when required.
- Compile a weekly summary of Profit and Loss for the unit.
- Compile all bookkeeping returns required by the Regional Office and the unit within the stipulated times.
- Ensure bookkeeping returns and trading analysis figures are balanced by Friday after stock takes.
- Conduct spot checks in the unit using Control Sheets, POS and Cash Received.
- Conduct cash checks in the unit, balancing to PRS Cash on Hand.
- Administer and manage all Local Debtor transactions and payments.
- Maintain accurate filing of accounting and financial records.
- Submit relevant and accurate financial documentation when required.
- Comply with approved capex procedures.
- Assist with budget processes.
