Business Compliance Assistant (Ref: XREAL023R)

Department: Real Estate and Development Planning (2024).
Location: City of Ekurhuleni.
Contract Type: Temporary – 6 months.
Stipend: R3,621 per month.
General Requirements
Minimum of Grade 10 (or equivalent).
Must be a South African citizen and resident of Ekurhuleni (specify ward number).
Unemployed and not currently part of the City of Ekurhuleni Job Creation Programme.
Willingness to learn and follow supervisor instructions.
Specific Requirements
Ability to read and write effectively.
Good communication and language skills.
Experience in business regulations and compliance is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Assist members of the public with business license and trading permit applications.
Visit business premises to encourage compliance with regulations.
Provide daily compliance reports and statistics on businesses visited.
Follow up on incomplete business applications.
Report challenges and progress to the Business Compliance Advisor.
Perform additional tasks as instructed by senior officials within Community Enterprise Development.
