About the Role

Fedics is looking for a Catering Manager to take charge of daily operations at a key site. The ideal candidate will ensure services are delivered according to specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs), manage client relationships, conduct regular site visits, and support site managers.

This role involves overseeing budgets, driving growth, and maintaining top-tier operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of site operations.

Perform in high-pressure environments.

Set and uphold service quality standards.

Lead, train, and mentor staff.

Monitor operational procedures and ensure they align with budget limits.

Guarantee food quality, presentation, and service meet Fedics benchmarks.

Comply with all Fedics policies and procedures.

Manage daily HR and IR activities, including training and performance evaluations.

Anticipate client needs and resolve issues proactively.

Organize and oversee all site-related events and functions.

Handle administration, financials, debt collection, and budgeting.

Complete required Fedics documentation and understand weekly/monthly profit & loss reports.

Build strong relationships with clients and customers.

Be flexible to work extended hours and weekends if needed.

Keep up to date with food trends and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Matric (Grade 12) and relevant culinary/hospitality tertiary qualification

At least 5 years of experience in a similar management role

Familiarity with accounting systems

Experience in a healthcare environment is highly advantageous
