Job Summary
Premium Bets is looking for a Chef Assistant to join the team in Bryanston.
The role involves assisting chefs with food preparation, plating, and presentation, while ensuring the kitchen is maintained according to Hollywood standards.
The Chef Assistant will also be responsible for stock control and ensuring proper food storage.
Minimum Requirements
Prior experience in the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain proper dress code in line with health, safety, and Hollywood standards.
Clean and inspect food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
Manage kitchen stock, including rotation, storage, and disposal of expired items.
Defrost freezers when needed and ensure proper stock organization.
Store leftovers correctly for future use.
Prepare food for chefs as per menu requirements (GAAP standards).
Plate and serve meals according to portion guidelines and presentation standards.
Ensure orders are completed on time to deliver excellent customer service.
Report damaged or faulty equipment that may affect operations.
Notify chefs of low-stock items and assist with stock counts.
Record all wastages and breakages during shifts.
Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, including appliances, surfaces, floors, and walls.
Leave the kitchen neat before the next shift.
Perform additional ad hoc duties when required.
