Role Purpose:
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming school environment. This includes routine cleaning duties and supporting school events when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Empty and sanitize waste bins
Clean desks, chairs, walls, and skirting boards
Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floor surfaces
Wash crockery and neatly store utensils
Sanitize floors and ensure event areas are cleaned after use
Set up crockery and refreshments for meetings/events
Neatly store all cleaning tools and supplies
Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages or damages
Available for overtime or weekend work when required
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and health & safety standards
Familiarity with safe equipment use and chemical dilution
Reasonable physical fitness
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
Good time management and the ability to work independently or in a team
Basic literacy and numeracy for following instructions and measuring cleaning materials
