Position Purpose
Broll Property Group is seeking a Lounge Cleaning Supervisor to oversee hygiene and presentation standards in SAA lounge areas.

This role ensures top-tier cleanliness, staff supervision, inventory control, guest engagement, and compliance with operational standards aligned to β€œThe Broll Way.”

Key Responsibilities

πŸ”Ή Team Supervision

Lead and manage cleaning staff across all lounge zones.

Monitor rosters, assign tasks, and ensure service schedules are followed.

Coach, mentor, and discipline staff when necessary.

Enforce grooming, PPE, and professional standards.

πŸ”Ή Operations & Quality Control

Conduct shift inspections (ablutions, showers, kitchens, reception, etc.).

Ensure cleaning follows the Lounge Priority Matrix and meets presentation standards.

Resolve operational issues or escalate where needed.

πŸ”Ή Inventory & Stock

Track usage and report shortages of consumables and supplies.

Submit monthly requisitions to the Site Manager.

Maintain adequate stock of guest amenities (toiletries, towels, etc.).

πŸ”Ή Training & Compliance

Train and onboard new staff on SOPs, safety, and guest etiquette.

Conduct refresher sessions on cleaning standards and emergency protocols.

Ensure compliance with audits and SLA requirements.

πŸ”Ή Reporting

Submit checklists, attendance registers, and incident logs daily.

Compile end-of-shift reports covering issues, resolutions, and staff performance.

Performance Goals

Lounges consistently meet premium hygiene and presentation standards.

Stock shortages do not interrupt service.

Reports and checklists are submitted accurately and on time.

Staff comply with service, hygiene, and disciplinary standards.

Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) required; Hospitality/Housekeeping/Facilities Management qualification advantageous.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, airports, or VIP environments.

Knowledge of inspection routines, stock management, and digital checklist systems.

Skills

Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Attention to detail with a service-driven mindset.

Ability to manage multiple teams and zones simultaneously.

Conflict resolution and staff training skills.

Physically fit to oversee operations in large lounge areas.

Working Conditions

Shift-based, including weekends and public holidays.

Requires security clearance for airport restricted areas.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals and interaction with VIP passengers.
