Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused individual to manage the dispatch process for customer orders.
This involves verifying, invoicing, and ensuring timely delivery via courier or internal transport. The role includes coordinating with the sales team for updates on order progress and waybills, and with the accounts team to confirm payments for both COD and term accounts.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who excels in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Fluent in English (reading and writing)
Proficient in MS Windows, Office, Excel, Outlook, and Skype
Presentable and personable
Able to work under pressure and beyond regular hours when needed
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Reliable with sober habits
Key Responsibilities:
Handle and manage stock dispatch
Accept and manage cash for COD orders (when applicable)
Maintain and reconcile cash float (if applicable)
Generate daily end-of-day reports (if applicable)
Ensure all ready orders are dispatched promptly
Communicate pending orders with relevant departments
Confirm that goods and quantities dispatched are correct
Inspect goods for damage before dispatch
Verify payment before dispatching COD orders
Assist with stocktaking and discrepancy resolution
Collaborate with pickers and packers to complete orders
Keep the collections area clean and organized
Follow additional instructions from the line manager

Send end-of-day updates via email
Report any issues or concerns to your manager
