Job Overview
Syntech is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Collection Dispatch Clerk to oversee the dispatching of stock to customers.
This includes verifying orders, processing invoices, and arranging deliveries via courier or in-house transport.
The role also involves keeping the sales team updated on order statuses and waybills, as well as working with accounts to confirm payments for COD and term accounts.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Proficient in English (reading and writing).
Computer literacy: MS Windows, Office, Excel, Outlook, and Skype.
Neat appearance and friendly personality.
Ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to work after hours when necessary to ensure dispatches are completed.
Strong communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Reliable with sober habits.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Manage stock and dispatch operations.
Handle cash for COD orders (when applicable) and manage cash float.
Compile and submit daily end-of-day reports.
Ensure all ready orders are dispatched on time.
Coordinate with departments regarding pending orders.
Verify that correct items and quantities are sent to the right customers in good condition.
Confirm payments before dispatching COD orders.
Assist with stock takes and resolving variances.
Collaborate with pickers and packers to complete orders.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the collections area.
Follow additional instructions from the line manager.
Reporting & Feedback
Submit daily end-of-day emails.
Report challenges and concerns to the line manager.
