These are permanent Crime Stop Operator positions within the South African Police Service’s Division: Detective Services, based at the Training College (Mob Support – Crime Stop) in Pretoria West.City & Local Guides
The successful candidates will help receive, process and distribute crime-related information submitted by members of the public through the Crime Stop telephone lines, the My SAPS mobile application and official social media platforms.
Applicants should have:
Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA
South African citizenship
Ability to communicate in English and at least one other official language
General computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and MS Office)
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong planning and organisational skills
Administrative and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal skills
Customer service orientation
Ability to work independently
Professional and accountable work ethic
Willingness to work under pressure
Willingness to work extended hours when required

Responsibilities:
Process crime information received through Crime Stop
Dispatch information for investigation
Monitor pending investigations
Request feedback on reported cases
Update investigation statuses
Process reports received through the My SAPS App
Process reports received through official social media platforms
Help manage state resources
Compile daily reports
Compile monthly reports
