Purpose
Operate the day-to-day activities of a Gautrain station efficiently and safely.
Ensure customer safety, satisfaction, and a smooth travel experience.
Maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and friendliness in all customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact for customers.
Sell tickets and handle cash transactions.
Verify ticket validity and forward complaints to the Customer Service Officer.
Adhere strictly to safety rules and operational procedures.
Restart, control, and monitor station equipment and systems as needed.
Inspect station facilities (lighting, ticket vending machines, lifts, escalators).
Oversee compliance of outsourced cleaning services.
Manage incidents and emergencies promptly.
Report any events likely to affect passenger flow to the OCC Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Grade 12 with Mathematics and/or Accounting.
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to build positive relationships and handle emergencies calmly.
Commitment to following company policies and procedures.
