Jonathan Ball Publishers, a leading South African publisher and distributor, is seeking a Distribution Centre Assistant (DC Assistant) to join their team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, reliable, and hardworking individual to support efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Work across warehouse functions: Receiving, Picking, Stock Control/Inventory, Dispatch, Returns, and Replenishment.
Receive, pick, check, replenish, and dispatch stock, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Verify order details, log errors, and report issues to supervisors.
Pack and label parcels correctly, using suitable materials and handling fragile items with care.
Identify and report picking or packaging errors.
Maintain packing machinery, replenish supplies, and report faults.
Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards while keeping your workstation clean.
Support colleagues when needed and assist in other warehouse areas.
Take part in stock counts and help ensure inventory accuracy.
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
Operate a forklift if licensed.
Requirements
Matric certificate.
1–2 years of warehouse/store experience.
Forklift license beneficial.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
