Job Summary
Rand Water is seeking a qualified and reliable Driver to ensure the safe transportation of staff and equipment to various destinations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining vehicles in a safe, clean, and roadworthy condition.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
3 years’ relevant driving experience
Valid Code EB driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test
Must possess a valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
Primary Duties
Financial:
Safely handle petty cash when required
Customer:
Respond promptly to customer requests and transport needs
Business Process:
Transport staff and equipment to designated locations
Ensure all vehicles are clean and roadworthy
Plan and schedule transport activities for the Mechanical Section
Conduct regular inspections of motor vehicles
Report and investigate any faults or defects immediately
Planned Maintenance:
Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage and maintenance schedules
