Job Overview:
BME is seeking a skilled Driver to transport products and raw materials both within and outside the plant premises. The role may also include supporting tasks as a Packaged Distribution Assistant when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Code 14 license with a Dangerous Goods Permit
Bonus/Preferred:
1 year of experience working with explosives
Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years experience in truck or tractor driving
At least 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing setting
Key Responsibilities:
Drive and deliver materials/products both inside and outside the facility
Support the team by performing additional Packaged Distribution Assistant duties when necessary
Skills and Competencies:
Strong truck driving skills across all road conditions
Safety-focused and attentive to quality
Mechanical aptitude (beneficial)
Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic issues
Good verbal and written communication
Must be reliable, self-driven, and capable of working independently without supervision
