Summary
This role involves safely operating a truck to transport tractors and implements to clients, securing and checking loads, maintaining accurate travel records, planning routes, complying with road safety and company policies, providing excellent client service, and assisting the workshop and parts department when needed.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate truck to transport tractors and implements to and from clients
Loading and off-loading of truck making sure load is safely secured
Check all load-related documentation to
ensure that it is complete and accurate
Provide good communication and mannerism when communicating with clients
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Maintain accurate travel logbook
Obey road safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws
Carry out daily inspections on truck and report any issues and arrange repairs when needed
Assist workshop and parts department in free time if needed
Qualifications and Skills
Matric / Grade 12
Valid Code 14 Drivers licence
At least 1 years’ experience in driving a truck
Knowledge of tractors and implements (advantageous)
