REQUIREMENTS
-Grade 10. – Must be bilingual (and at least understand English). – Applicants must reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality – Ability to follow & execute instructions.
– excellent physical health, basic skill and understanding of the area of work. – Must be able to perform physically demanding work (in varying weather conditions). – Must meet operational requirements of the post – Be a hard-working self-disciplined person. – Applicants must have at least between 0–1-year experience in general worker/labourer or labour-intensive duties. Applicants must be unemployed (or serve the last three months of a contracted term).
DUTIES
-the role is considered labour-intensive and applicants will be responsible for loading and off-loading of material, tools and equipment used to execute daily duties upon arrival and finishing their daily assigned tasks. – Placing traffic signs to warn traffic about work being done next to municipal roads, clean in and around the working area of responsibility with various manual labour equipment/tools.

– Due to operational requirements, the EPWP roles advertised are available for male candidates only. -the role by definition is considered elementary aimed at attracting unskilled, and semi-skilled applications. – – The advertised roles are applicable for the Public Safety and Roads Department (Roads Section) and Engineering Services Department (Water, Purification and Sewer Sections).

–The temporary contract will run for a maximum of two years (24 months) from date of appointment. – Preference is given to unemployed applications, where an applicant is employed on a contract consideration will only be given if the contract termination date falls within a period of 3 months or less.
