REQUIREMENTS
-Grade 10. – Grade 12 will be an added advantage. – Technical qualification in Plumbing will be an added advantage. – Code 10 driver’s licence with valid PDP.
– Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. – Skills & competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict & stress management, negotiation skills, problem-solving skills, strong administrative skills. – Must be able to read, write and manage the sub-section to consist over the necessary technical skills to perform duties.
– 2-3 years’ relevant experience and knowledge in water reticulation within Local Government authority or Government entity. – Preference will be given to residents of Midvaal Local Municipality.
DUTIES
– To supervise and the team members to ensure that all water reticulation activities are executed in terms of work orders received and instructions.
– Driving heavy motor vehicles and transporting labourer team to and from work sites. – Assists in the maintenance of water reticulation supply systems. – Loading and off-loading of materials and equipment. – Responsible for general maintenance of equipment used. – Responsible for general administration and filing of works-orders.
– Responsible for productive and effective use of equipment and resources to ensure effective service delivery. – Responsible for discipline and control over subordinates. – Attend to public complaints as per instruction of a supervisor. – Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (Supervisor) from time to time.
