Job Overview

The FirstJob Learner position is a developmental role where the learner completes a formal, registered qualification while gaining practical work experience. During this period, the learner will carry out various tasks that support business objectives, including research, analysis, administration, and project-related work. The learner must meet all academic requirements of the qualification, and will also receive additional on-the-job training as needed.


Key Responsibilities

Identify and report potential risks that could increase operational costs

Actively demonstrate cost awareness and understand how personal actions affect expenses

Build knowledge of financial processes and follow required operating standards

Uphold the organisation’s values, service standards, and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines during customer interactions

Resolve customer queries and complaints, taking ownership of issues and communicating according to agreed service levels

Gather customer feedback to help improve service delivery

Ensure all product information and advice provided is correct and compliant

Follow improved processes and procedures to support operational efficiency

Maintain high-quality work and follow organisational policies and procedures

Complete accurate activity reports

Look for innovative ways to improve and streamline processes

Support the alignment of business processes with customer service goals

Suggest opportunities for system and process enhancements to line management

Display the shared value of continuous improvement: “I get better and better.”
