Job Summary:
Rand Water is looking for a Gardener to maintain and enhance the EMS landscapes and facilities. This is a physically demanding role requiring the use of various gardening tools and machinery under instruction.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Standard 10)
At least 6 months of relevant gardening or horticultural experience
Physically capable of operating tools such as lawnmowers and brush cutters
Basic understanding of safety procedures relevant to the job
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general garden and landscape maintenance
Clean, sweep, weed, water, and plant vegetation
Apply fertilizers, compost, and mulch to garden beds
Load and unload gardening equipment, plants, materials, and debris
Operate gardening machines like brush cutters and lawnmowers
Assist with events or small construction-related tasks when necessary
Required Knowledge:
Basic horticultural techniques and plant care
Safe use of hand tools and gardening equipment
Familiarity with garden machinery (e.g., brush cutters, lawnmowers)
Skills and Competencies:
