Job Overview

Our client in the construction industry is looking for a motivated and well-organised Girl Friday / Office Assistant to support the smooth running of their office in Krugersdorp.

The ideal candidate will be the go-to person for handling administrative duties, supporting the site team, and ensuring efficient daily operations.


Key Responsibilities

Reception & Front Office:

Welcome visitors and answer calls with professionalism

Handle general queries and route messages appropriately

Administrative Tasks:

Typing, filing, scanning, data capturing, and record-keeping

Assist with project documentation and internal correspondence

Scheduling & Coordination:

Manage calendars, book meetings/boardrooms, and arrange travel

Support the site team with schedule coordination

Project & Supplier Liaison:

Assist with quotes, invoices, and purchase orders

Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers

Office Supplies & Stock Control:

Keep track of stationery, PPE, and consumables

Order supplies when needed

Fleet Administration (if applicable):

Maintain service logs and vehicle checklists

Assist with reporting and logbook updates

Courier & Mail Handling:

Distribute incoming mail/packages

Manage outgoing courier arrangements and documentation

General Support:

Run errands, assist with event setup, and help coordinate logistics for various activities


Requirements

Education:

Matric (Grade 12) required

A diploma in Office Administration is an advantage

Experience:

1–4 years in a similar admin or receptionist role

Background in construction or technical environments preferred

Computer Skills:

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Comfortable with digital systems and filing

Communication:

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Able to work with a variety of people – from managers to contractors

Organisational Ability:

Excellent time management and multitasking

Detail-oriented and proactive

Transport:

Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport preferred
