About the Role

The Grade 1 Teacher will create a dynamic and nurturing learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who values innovation, collaboration, and student growth.


Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and future-focused lessons in line with the school’s academic vision.

Support and monitor student progress through effective assessment and reporting.

Manage classroom behaviour with empathy and consistency.

Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and administrative standards.


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Foundation Phase) or ECD qualification (NQF Level 6)

SACE registration and valid police clearance

2–5 years of teaching experience

Computer and digital literacy

First Aid certification (advantageous)

If qualified in Psychology or similar, a PGCE is required
