Job Summary

The role involves overseeing and managing all reception and administrative duties within the hospital, ensuring they are carried out according to Group quality standards from start to finish.


Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Certificate in Office Administration or Secretarial Studies / NQF Level 5

Skills in conflict resolution

Strong interpersonal abilities

1–2 years’ experience in general office administration

Good verbal and written communication

Excellent customer service

Computer literacy


Minimum Job Requirements

Answer, screen, and transfer calls from the switchboard

Ensure messages are passed on to the correct person

Respond to inquiries or direct queries to the right individuals

Provide general and ad hoc administrative support

Welcome staff, clients, service providers, and visitors in a professional manner

Arrange appointments and help organise meetings

Receive, sort, and prepare mail and deliveries

Ensure shared areas are stocked with office supplies

Monitor office equipment and replace supplies when necessary

Coordinate maintenance when repairs are needed

Assist in coordinating hospital drivers

Provide customer-focused clerical support

Work cooperatively with colleagues and maintain good communication

Take minutes in meetings and keep accurate records

Assist with filing tasks

Manage kitchen supplies daily

Follow cost-control procedures to help meet budget goals

Ensure all expenses are authorised by the department head
