Key Responsibilities
As an HVAC Assistant, your duties will include:
Following all health and safety regulations
Supporting technicians with repairs and maintenance tasks
Assisting with HVAC installations
Helping with equipment care and basic upkeep
Preparing work sites and handling general housekeeping
Working closely with team members and senior technicians
Assisting with preventative maintenance
Setting up sites and ensuring work areas remain tidy
What You Need to Succeed
Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in an HVAC environment (advantageous)
Qualifications:
Grade 12 / Matric (required)
Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
N1–N4 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (an advantage)
Skills & Attributes
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of mechanical tools, components, and systems
Ability to assist with minor repairs and fault-finding under supervision
Willingness to learn and understand HVAC systems
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail
