About the Role
Fidelity Services Group is looking for dedicated Junior Firefighters to join the Fire Solutions division.
The role involves responding to fire-related emergencies, providing rescue services, delivering basic medical care, participating in fire prevention initiatives, and maintaining firefighting equipment.
All duties are performed under the guidance and supervision of senior officers.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to fires, rescues, hazardous substance incidents, and other emergencies.
Operate firefighting and rescue equipment, including breathing apparatus.
Provide emergency medical assistance and casualty extrication.
Conduct fire prevention duties, safety inspections, and training sessions.
Participate in drills, simulations, and fitness training.
Maintain vehicles, firefighting gear, and equipment to ensure readiness.
Keep accurate incident logs and reports.
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
IFSAC Accredited with NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification.
At least 2 years’ firefighting experience with relevant training.
Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence (advanced driving advantageous).
Physically and medically fit with knowledge of fire prevention and firefighting systems.
Clear criminal record.
Hazmat knowledge and EMT certification (First Aid Level 1–3 / Basic Ambulance Attendant).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Core Competencies
Quick decision-making in emergencies.
Knowledge of Hazmat procedures and security industry regulations.
Ability to follow operational protocols and safety standards.
