Overview
G4S is seeking professional National Keypoint Officers to ensure the highest level of security and compliance at designated National Key Point (NKP) sites. The role involves maintaining strict adherence to the National Key Points Act and site-specific security policies.
Key Responsibilities
Enforce all security policies and procedures as outlined in the National Key Points Act and site regulations.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and report breaches, threats, or unusual activities.
Operate and monitor security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control equipment.
Manage access control to the site, verifying the identity and authorization of all personnel and vehicles.
Maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, visitor details, and security activities.
Perform searches of people, vehicles, and packages according to security standards.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including fire, medical, or security incidents.
Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric certificate or equivalent.
National Keypoint Course certification.
PSIRA Grade C registration.
Valid firearm competency certificate.
Knowledge and Skills
In-depth understanding of the National Key Points Act (Act 102 of 1980) and related laws.
Strong grasp of access control, security operations, and incident management.
Skilled in using CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
Excellent observation, communication, and reporting abilities.
Able to perform effectively under pressure and during emergencies.
