The Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison Mpumalanga Province invites unemployed youth residing in Mpumalanga to apply for the 2025/26 Basic Traffic Officers Diploma Learnership.
This 12-month programme offers participants an opportunity to gain essential knowledge and practical skills in Traffic Law Enforcement. Successful learners will receive
a monthly stipend of R5,000 and training will take place at the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College in Mkhuhlu (Calcutta), within the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality.
Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate, a valid Code B driving licence, be South African citizens, medically fit, and free from any criminal record. Shortlisted candidates will undergo driving and competency tests as part of the selection process.
The closing date for applications is 14 November 2025, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Upon completion, learners will obtain a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officer (NQF Level 4).
