Position Overview:
We’re looking for a dedicated Logistics Coordinator to support the link between the Production and Stores departments. You’ll manage various logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations and efficiency.

Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure material availability by coordinating with stores supervisors

Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing materials

Enforce and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Perform daily stock counts and maintain inventory accuracy

Generate stock reports and analyze variances and ageing

Ensure correct stock rotation and allergen control

Minimize waste and manage obsolete stock approval

Communicate material requirements to buyers

Identify training needs within the stores team

Monitor space and capacity constraints

Manage equipment (MHE, forklifts) and forklift operators

Enforce health and safety procedures

Oversee timesheets, absenteeism, and temporary staffing

Submit weekly damage reports

Attend daily planning meetings to adjust labour needs

Coordinate the movement of finished goods to the distribution centre

Requirements for Success:

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in a logistics coordination role within a manufacturing or FMCG setting

Proficient in SAP

Education:

Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Warehousing

Skills:

Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)

Supervisory experience and people management skills

Familiarity with Industrial Relations procedures

Solid understanding of inventory and warehouse processes

Willingness to work shifts if required
