Job Description
The Magazine Driver is responsible for supervising the loading and offloading of products from delivery vehicles, ensuring items are correctly stacked, and enforcing strict stock control procedures. The role also includes maintaining the explosives delivery fleet to ensure reliable service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Verify that the correct products are loaded according to the Dangerous Goods declaration prepared by the magazine master.
Assist the magazine master with stock replenishment.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering On Time In Full (OTIF) while upholding AECI’s reputation.
Ensure explosives are loaded in compliance with the Explosives Act and Regulations.
Conduct and sign off monthly CIE inspections for all explosive delivery vehicles.
Maintain high housekeeping standards for all delivery vehicles and ensure vehicles receive necessary maintenance.
Keep accurate vehicle records in the LDV orange folders.
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 (Matric).
Valid Code C1 or EC driver’s licence with a valid PrDP.
Must be eligible to obtain a Red Ticket.
Basic stock control experience is advantageous.
Must be able to obtain First Aid and Firefighting Certificates.
Must pass the Psychomotor Assessment (Dover symbol A).
Valid Magazine Master’s Certificate is required.
