About the Role
Fedics is looking to appoint a Cook to join the team. The role involves preparing meals using standard recipes, handling general kitchen duties, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily operations. The Cook will be responsible not only for preparing food but also for assisting with purchasing, introducing new menu ideas, and helping improve kitchen efficiency and profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities
Take customer orders and prepare meals according to their requirements.
Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, gravies, cereals, fruits, baked goods, and other dishes.
Prepare meals for special diets using approved recipes.
Assist with on-the-job training and help direct food service staff or students.
Plan and organise work so that all items in an order are completed and served together.
Prepare salads and desserts.
Grill, fry, and cook various foods.
Notify the supervisor when food or supplies are running low and assist with checking deliveries.
Maintain accurate food production records.
Clean kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment; ensure fridges and freezers are secured.
Serve food when required and maintain high sanitation and safety standards.
Report equipment faults or food quality issues to the kitchen manager.
Follow Standard Recipe Cards for all food preparation.
Must be available for shift work, including weekends.

2–4 years’ experience in kitchen work and cooking.
