Job Purpose
AECI Plant Health is seeking a Materials Handler to assist in warehouse operations — including picking, packing, loading, and stock control — while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency in all processes.
Key Responsibilities
Pick and prepare stock according to picking slips.
Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to manage expired products correctly.
Load and offload vehicles per documentation and maintain product quality standards.
Report any damaged, leaking, or faulty products to the Warehouse Coordinator.
Keep warehouse products clean, well-labelled, and neatly stacked.
Operate Forklifts and Reach Trucks safely and complete daily equipment checklists.
Maintain good housekeeping and comply with SHEQ and safety standards.
Participate in stock counts and report stock shortages or discrepancies.
Follow hazardous chemical and transportation regulations.
May be required to work overtime to assist with truck or container loading/unloading.
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or production.
Valid Forklift and Reach Truck driver’s licenses.
Must be medically fit to operate warehouse machinery.
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and relevant legislation.
Able to work independently and in a team, under pressure, with high accuracy.
Basic computer literacy required.
Physically fit for manual warehouse duties.
